Management Team
The Management Team has broad experience in market evaluation, asset evaluation, acquisition structuring and implementation, asset management and exit strategies.
Mr. Hamm co-founded Valeo Fund and is responsible for the day- to-day
management and administrative activities of the Fund. He also serves on
the investment committee. Prior to forming Valeo Fund, Mr. Hamm was an Executive Officer of Keystone Group, a private wealth management
company. Mr. Hamm has more than twenty years of experience as a private
wealth manager and investment consultant. His primary responsibilities
at Keystone were to manage clients' cash, equities, and real estate
assets. He has spent the majority of his professional career serving
high net worth clients and investors with the goal of conservatively
growing portfolios. Preserving wealth, through effective risk
management, has always been Mr. Hamm's top priority. Mr. Hamm has
experience in creating and managing various investment vehicles,
domestic and foreign. In addition to doing business in the U.S., Mr.
Hamm has multinational experience in Japan, Singapore, United Kingdom,
Switzerland, Bermuda, and Canada. Mr. Hamm earned a B.B.A. in Finance
at The University of Texas-Austin. He also earned an M.B.A. at The
University of Texas-Permian Basin.
Mr.
Lewis co-founded Valeo Fund and is responsible for managing the
day-to-day operations of the real estate assets. He also serves on the
investment committee. Prior to forming Valeo Fund, Mr. Lewis was a
Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee at Crescent
Real Estate Equities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Lewis was with Crescent from 1994 until his
departure in the fall of 2009. His primary responsibilities at Crescent
were to manage operations, marketing, enhancing property values and
advise the strategic direction of all of Crescent's commercial real
estate holdings. During Mr. Lewis' tenure, Crescent Real Estate
Equities was a $6.5 billion company, with more than 30 million square
feet of prime office real estate throughout the United States. While
managing Crescent's operations, Mr. Lewis and his team provided
full-scope real estate services for Crescent's tenants and clients.
While serving as Managing Director of Crescent Real Estate Equities, in
less than three years, Mr. Lewis successfully led his team in securing
lease transactions exceeding $750 million. During that same period, Mr.
Lewis was part of the team responsible for disposing of more than $1.5
billion in assets. Mr. Lewis earned a B.B.A. in Business from The
University of Texas-Austin.
Mr. Lipscomb co-founded Valeo Fund and is responsible for the
day-to-day management and investment activities of the Fund. He is
chairman of the investment committee. Prior to forming Valeo Fund, Mr.
Lipscomb was the National Director of Archon Retail, the shopping
center platform of Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs Company. He held that
position from 2001 - 2009. At Archon, Mr. Lipscomb and his team were
responsible for the company's acquisition, development, leasing, asset
management, and underwriting of retail properties. Under his direction,
Archon Retail grew to include five regional offices across the U.S. and
a team of over 20 real estate professionals. Prior to his tenure at
Archon, Mr. Lipscomb was President of NorthAmerican Properties -
Southwest Retail Group. Prior thereto, he was an operating partner for
retail development at Lincoln Property Company. Mr. Lipscomb is a
member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also serves
on the Advisory Board of the Center for Real Estate Finance at the
McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas-Austin. Mr.
Lipscomb received his B.B.A. in Marketing with a concentration in real
estate from The University of Texas-Austin.
Mr. Yoder serves as a Managing Director and is a principal in the Fund. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the real estate assets and serves on the investment committee. Prior to joining Valeo Fund, Mr. Yoder served as Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle's Investor Services group, serving both institutional and private clients. Under his direction, Mr. Yoder and his team leased and managed a portfolio of more than 12 million square feet. In addition, he supported the JLL investment sales team. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Yoder served as a principal at Trammell Crow Company where he led a team of 41 brokers in the Corporate Advisory Services Division. During his tenure at Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Yoder also led a team that managed and leased an office building portfolio of 17.5 million square feet. Prior thereto, Mr. Yoder provided leasing, asset management, and acquisition services on behalf of Tower Realty Management Corporation, a subsidiary of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Additionally, Mr. Yoder led the disposition of 47 office building assets as an REO Marketing Manager for Bluebonnet Savings Bank, FSB in the early 1990's. Mr. Yoder is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and is President Elect of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR). Mr. Yoder received a B.A. in Economics from The University of Texas-Austin.
